The arrival of spring heralds the opening of the rainy season. In the face of nature disasters such as overflowing rivers, flash floods and landslides that may be caused by extreme weather, what countermeasures should excavator users take? The following is a compilation of precautions for the construction and maintenance of excavators in rainy season, which I hope will help you.
1. Precautions for construction in the rainy season
1. Before construction, pay attention to the site environment and check the construction site for softness and potential trapping hazards. The general method is: to manpower with a bamboo pole downward poke, if more than one bamboo pole without effort to quickly poke down, and no resistance within one meter, indicating that this is all silt, ordinary excavator is very easy to get stuck in the car, can not be normal construction.
2. Before construction in the rainy season in mountainous ares, observe the possibility of landslides and mudslides on the mountain. Firstly, observe whether the mountain is broken, whether there is unreasonable excavation, unreasonable dumping of soil, slag and quarrying, whether the vegetation grows well, and whether the following water in the mountain is turbid.
3. If you feel the excavator start to sink during construction, stop the work and find a support the vehicle with the big arm to prevent further sinking. Drive the excavator back in the same direction, not in another direction.
4. Work in the rain should always be vigilant, night work should keep the excavator front and rear headlights, work lights, roof lights, instrument lights, windshield wipers and other normal work to ensure safety.
5. After construction, be sure to park your excavator in a safe area on higher ground closer to your residence, in a dangerous area where the principle may collapse and the river may rise, and also make sure that the excavator has enough fuel to evacuate at any time.
2. Precautions for storage during the rainy season
1. It is best to keep the machine indoors in a dry location if possible, and to clean the machine thoroughly and dispose of any dirt and debris on it.
2. When parked in the open air, pay attention to check whether the fuel tank and hydraulic oil cap is tightly covered to avoid rainwater seeping into the fuel tank causing unnecessary trouble.
3. Inspect machines, repair worn and damaged parts, and install new parts if required.
4. Clean main air filter element, lubricate all lubrication points. If possible, retract all cylinders,if not, grease exposed lubrication rods, place tracks on long, stable pads.
5. After the battery has been charged, remove the battery and store it in a dry safe place. If it cannot be removed, turn off the main power switch or detach the negative battery cable connection from one end.
6. Pay attention to the wear and tear of the sealing ring on the engine oil dipstick to avoid its wear and tear to rainwater seeping into the oil, the oil filter should also be checked, and when parked in the open air,you can put a plastic bag over it if necessary, so as to make it foolproof.
