There are three common methods for removing fuel tank dirt in excavator maintenance.
1. Blow Washing Method
Keep part of the diesel oil in the fuel tank, and then pass the compressed air of 19.6~29.4KPa into the bottom of the fuel tank with a plastic pipe, so as to make the diesel oil tumbling and cleaning, and keep changing the position and direction of the lower end of the air pipe to make the whole fuel tank cleaned. Immediately after blowing the tank diesel fuel, so that the impurities suspended in the oil with the diesel fuel outflow. If the outflow of diesel fuel is dirty, use blow washing to clean it again until the released oil does not contain impurities.
2. Steam Method
Exhausted diesel fuel, remove the tank, and then to the diesel fuel tank filled with half a box of water, the steam with a conduit from the gas port into the the water, so that the diesel fuel tank of water boiling for about 1h. In this way, adhering to the walls of the box on the gum and residual diesel molecules can be dissolved into the water. Lightweight spoils will float to the surface and washed away. This twice in a row, the diesel fuel tank can be rinsed clean.
3. Solvent Method
Use hot water to clean the excavator diesel fuel tank, and then blow dry with compressed air to remove the internal diesel fuel vapor, and finally put the diesel fuel tank containing 10% sodium hydroxide solution in the water immersion. Rinse the inside and outside of the diesel tank with water after dipping. If rust is found on the outside, use a wire brush to brush it clean.
