6 Solutions for Excavator Handle Struggle

3

1. Excavator Operating Handle

The excavator operating handle assembly is divided into two major parts, the upper part is the operating rod, and the lower part is the operating pilot valve. When you open the outer shroud of the handle, you can see four plungers at the top being covered, a universal joint in the middle, and six hydraulic pipes connected at the bottom, respectively, one oil inlet pipe, one oil return pipe, and four pilot oil pipes, and the oil inlet pipe joint location is generally installed with a small filter, which we need to regularly clean to prevent the oil inlet pipe from being blocked. We need to clean it regularly to prevent the inlet oil line from being blocked.

2. Handle Operation Too Heavy Failure

Handle due to the different brands, some users just operate the handle will feel uncomfortable, feel the handle is very heavy think that there is failure problem, in fact, not a problem with the machine, but individuals in the use of habits of a kind of illusion. We are not familiar with the use of the machine, you can first adjust the length of the handle, and then do not start the first try to feel to see the effect of use, if it is really very obvious heavy phenomenon, you need to check is not the pilot valve pressure caused by too much, or to see whether the pilot oil filter is smooth.

3. Handle Shaking

If there is a shivering of the handle, you can measure the pressure of the pilot valve and observe whether the needle of the hydraulic pressure gauge swings back and forth. If this phenomenon occurs, break down and check the pilot pump, and most of the time, the pilot pressure is unstable because of the serious wear of the gears or the loss of teeth.

4. Excavator moves slowly on its own

If the excavator appears to move slowly and the engine does not hold the car, it is necessary to consider the pilot oil circuit. When this fault occurs, first check the pressure of the pilot oil circuit, if the pilot oil circuit pressure is normal, in the separate measurement of the fault action of pilot “secondary pressure”. The next step is to disassemble and check the operation of the pilot valve spool, whether there is wear and tear jamming, seal damage and other faults.

5. Pilot handle inspection

The pilot handle test requires and external pressure gauge, which can be connected along the pilot handle hydraulic line to the main valve bonnet. The “secondary pressure” of the pilot handle is slightly lower than the pilot pump pressure.

6. Pilot handle maintenance

Pilot handle maintenance is relatively simple, we just need to remember that the pilot cartridge of the machine, the pilot cartridge should be replaced every 500 hours of work, and the pilot plunger head needs to be lubricated with grease to ensure that it does not dry grind on it. Of course, the above structure mentioned in the handle oil inlet filter to do diligent observation, diligent cleaning.
